Though this might not be the latest news, a giant pattern like 'Mayan head-dress' has come into sight at Silbury Hill in Wiltshire. If you haven't known, Wiltshire is the place where Stonehenge had been built long time ago. This crop circle is about 350ft huge, and it is believed to deliver an important message regarding the 2012 doomsday hype. As you knew already, Mayan long count calendar will end on December 21, 2012. That day will also mark the end of 5,126 years of famous Mayan calendar.

Karen Alexander, a crop circle enthusiast, said: "This is one of the most interesting crop circles I have ever seen. It is definitely a Mayan symbol and we are sure it is linked to the Mayan calendar, which ends in 2012. It appears to be a warning about the world coming to an end when the calendar does. For the ancient Maya, reaching the end of a cycle was a momentous event, so we are taking this crop circle very seriously as an indicator of a possibly huge event in 2012."

You should know, this is not the first time a strange pattern has suddenly appeared, earlier in Wiltshire a 400ft large crop circle shown 'a phoenix rising from the flames' has also emerged. So the question is: who and how people created this crop circle?

If you ask this question to crop circle theorists, they would say these patterns are created by UFOs during nocturnal visits, or caused by natural phenomena such as unusual forms of lightning striking the earth.

It's too weird.. so what do you think?

15 Odd Signs of Doomsday According to Jews

Following to 31 signs of doomsday in Christianity and Hinduism, this last part will cover doomsday predictions from Jews. For information, the Jews also known as the Jewish people, are an ethno-religious group originating in the Israelites or Hebrews of the Ancient Near East. These doomsday signs were said to have been given in the historical books of the Hebrews, and they predict the fifteen days before doom:

1. All the water from the earth will rice up to the clouds so that the cry of the seals, the yelling of the sea-monsters and the roar of the whales will be on the dry strands after the water leaves them.

2. The huge noise of the water falling down again the next day into their proper places will be heard, so that it goes deep into the earth; and nobody knows where.

3. All the water will freeze in its place and become hard, and armies will march on this.

4. The sea-animals of the earth will rise up into the clouds, and will cry and clamour continuously for fear of the Day of Doom. None other but God will understand what they are saying.

5. All the birds on the earth will move continuously, without resting, and without eating any food or drinking anything.

6. Great rivers, with fiery and rough waves, will flow out of the firmament from sunrise to sunset.

7. A huge, scary, ugly and unbearable sound will be heard from the heaven, and there will be thunder with many lightning. From the southern part of the sky, there will be seen a fiery red cloud rising and spreading all over all the earth, and crimson blood will pour from that cloud, and fill the earth – both the land and the sea.

8. There will be an excessive tremor and all the creatures of the earth will be numb with fear. The waves of the sea will rise very high, and the ocean will be shaken from its very core with fiery winds.

9. Each and every stone in this world, both small and big will break into four parts. These parts will talk to each other, and except for God, nobody else will understand their language. All the woods of the earth will be completely uprooted, after they have all broken on that day.

10. All the stones and trees on the earth will be shedding blood. All humans will be screaming, wailing, and crying, and pleading with the earth to open up for them, so that they do not have to witness all the evil. They would prefer to die rather than be alive at that moment. It is at that time that three hundred and sixty-five stars will fall on the earth.

11. Five thousand three hundred and sixty-five stars will fall on earth just as ripe fruits falling on a windy day. The moon will turn into the color of blood, the sun will grow dark, the mountains and all other structures will turn into ash. All mankind will kneel in front of God, praying for Him to save them from the fire of Doom.

12. All the lawless animals of the earth will have to leave their places, and be on the plains, howling and crying, with no food or clothing. Every person that has tasted life will die on that day and the whole world will be on fire and hail. The heaven’s angels will sing to the Creator to rescue them and the angels and the souls of the saints and the good people will be saved, so that the fire of Doom does not burn them.

13. All graves will open up and the dead will come out, and the world will be in grief, as there will be no place to live for the living or for the dead in this world.

14. All the living will die.

15. The final sign of the day before doom:

The only Son of the King of heaven and earth and hell, with all the angels and archangels, in His company will go, on that day to the summit of Mount Zion to judge their deeds, both good and evil, for Adam’s impure children. Michael the Archangel will summon all the human beings to that great assembly. All the dead will arise; first, the apostles will arise, then the prophets and the confessors, the martyrs and the saints and the good people, then the virgins and penitents and in the end, baptized infants. The whole human race will be aged thirty on that day, with no one being older or younger. This is the age at which Adam was created and the age of Jesus when He was baptized. Then the King of Glory will arise with His final Cross on his shoulder in everybody’s presence. He will have traces of all the wounds of His Passion upon Him, so that all the incurable wounds and tortures, which they themselves inflicted upon Him, may be manifested to the Jews.

Resuming my earlier post about signs of doomsday according to Islam. Now, let’s see what have other religions - Christianity and Hinduism, said about this doomsday phenomenon. As you know each religion has their own version of doomsday, so it’s fascinating to know what are their perspective towards this end of the day theory, and it could be used to expand our knowledge as well.

Christianity - Signs of Doomsday

According to the Bible, there are twenty-one signs of Doomsday:

1. Israel, the fig tree, is budding and the generation that sees it shall not pass till all is fulfilled.
2. The son of perdition, the return of Jesus for his church, and rebuilding of the temple.

Hinduism - Signs of Doomsday

According to Kaala Jnaana written by the Hindu mystic, Veera Brahmam, Kali Yuga will last for 5000 years after Lord Krishna passes away, after which evil will spread throughout the world.

1. There will be a rain of fire. Following this a strange thing will happen. 20 feet tall humans will appear and claim to be Kalki. (this is in India).
2. A huge comet will be born in the south; several people will die due to this.
3. Mammary glands will be born to the males of Cow, Goat, etc. and people will get milk from them.
4. Tigers will disappear completely from the forests.
5. The Sun will appear like a green colored human being.
6. Moon will be seen on a new moon day.
7. Wealth will arrive from other countries to India and India will be very rich and powerful.
8. Stones will break and fly about like crows and eagles; Stone horses and chariots will start to run.
9. Blood and pus will flow out from stones.
10. It will rain blood.

So, it’d the best if we just believe in our true faith and GOD. It doesn’t matter what is your religion, all the world’s great religions contain Messianic prophecies, which promise that God will one day send a Promised One whose teachings will unite all humanity.

All the major religions of the world have their own signs of Doomsday. Since the complete list will be too long so I decide to split it into several parts. This first part contains signs of doomsday according to Islam, let’s see what are they:

Islam – Signs of Doomsday

Muslims believe in messengers of God and prophets. They believe that the final message to man was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad. He is the last prophet sent by God. He is said to have foretold the following 72 signs that would appear nearing doomsday:

1. People will leave prayer.
2. People will usurp Amaanat.
3. Lying will become an art.
4. There will be murders on the slightest of disagreements.
5. Interest will become common.
6. There will be very tall buildings.
7. People will sell religion for the world.
8. People will treat relatives badly.
9. Justice will become a rarity.
10. Lies will be considered truth.
11. Clothes will be of silk.
12. Persecution will become common.
13. Divorces will become common.
14. Sudden deaths will increase.
15. The usurper of Amaanat will be considered honest and honorable.

28. But their hearts will smell and will be dead.

30. Gold will become common.
31. Demand for silver will increase.
32. Sin will increase.
33. Peace will become rare.
34. Words(Ayats) from the Quran will be decorated and calligraphy will become.
35. Mosques will be decorated.
36. And will have tall Minars.
37. But hearts will be empty.
38. Alcoholic drinks will be consumed.
39. Punishments ordered by the Shariah will be revoked and will no longer be implemented.
40. Women will order their mother around.
41. People who are with naked feet, naked bodies and against religion will become kings.
42. Women will trade along with men.
43. Women will imitate men.
44. Men will imitate women.
45. People will swear by things other than Allah and the Quran.
46. Even Muslims will be prepared to give false testimony, without being incited to it.
47. Only people one knows will be greeted with the salaam.
48. The knowledge of the Shariah will be used to earn worldly things.
49. Acts, which earn the Akhirah, will be used to earn the world.
50. Assets belonging to the nation will be considered and treated as personal treasures by the rulers.
51. Amaanat will be considered ones personal asset.
52. Zakaat will be considered as a penalty.
53. The lowest and the worst man in the nation will become its leader.
54. People will not obey their fathers.
55. And will mistreat their mothers.
56. And will not hold back from harming their friends.
57. And will obey their wives.
58. And the voices of the men who commit adultery will be raised in mosques.
59. Women who sing will be treated with great deference.
60. Instruments of music will be kept with great care.
61. Alcohol will be drunk on the highways.
62. People will be proud of their acts of persecution.
63. Justice will be sold in the courts.
64. The number of men in the police force will increase.
65. Instead of music, the Quran will be used to gain pleasure for its tune and style (Qirat), not for what it preaches, its meaning or for rewards in the Akhirah.
66. Animal fur will be used.
67. The last of the Ummat will curse those before them (clearly seen today in people who call the Prophets companions names).
68. Either Allah will send a Red Storm upon you.
69. Or Earthquakes.
70. Or your faces will be changed.
71. Or a rain of rocks from the skies. Asteroids? Meteors.
72. Lies will become a habit of the rulers and the rich.

Prophet Muhammad also said:

1. Alcohol will be called Sherbat and will be considered Halal.

4. Women will be naked in spite of wearing dresses.

2012 Prediction 4: Planet X Is on a Collision Course With Earth

Some also predict a mysterious Planet X aka Nibiru is out there waiting on its collision path with Earth or at least a disruptive flyby.

A direct hit would absolutely demolish Earth. It’s said even a near miss could shower Earth with deadly asteroid impacts.

Could such an unknown planet really be headed our way in 2012, even just a little bit?

"There is no object out there," NASA astrobiologist Morrison said. "That's probably the most straightforward thing to say."

The origins of this theory actually predate widespread interest in 2012.

"If there were a planet or a brown dwarf or whatever that was going to be in the inner solar system three years from now, astronomers would have been studying it for the past decade and it would be visible to the naked eye by now," Morrison said. "It's not there."

2012 Prediction 5: Solar Storms to Savage Earth

Another 2012 prophecy predicts that sun will be our enemy. Our friendly star is predicted to produce eruptions of solar flares and turn up the heat on Earthlings.

Big flares can indeed damage communications and other Earthly systems, but scientists have no indications the sun, at least in the short term, will unleash storms strong enough to fry the planet.

"As it turns out the sun isn't on schedule anyway," NASA astronomer Morrison said. "We expect that this cycle probably won't peak in 2012 but a year or two later."

2012 Prediction 6: Maya Had Clear Predictions for 2012

If the Maya didn't foresee the end of world in 2012, what exactly did they predict for that year?

The Maya did pass down a graphic though undated end-of-the-world scenario known as the Dresden Codex. The document describes a world destroyed by flood, a scenario imagined in many cultures and probably experienced, on a less apocalyptic scale, by ancient peoples.

Aveni, the archaeoastronomer, said the scenario is not meant to be read literally but as a lesson about human behavior.

In fact, Aveni says, the Maya weren't much for predictions.

"The whole timekeeping scale is very past directed, not future directed," he said. "What you read on these monuments of the Long Count are events that connected Maya rulers with ancestors and the divine.

"The farther back you can plant your roots in deep time the better argument you can make that you're legit," Aveni said. "And I think that's why these Maya rulers were using Long Count time. "It's not about a fixed prediction about what's going to happen."

Six 2012 Doomsday Predictions Explained (Part-1)

According to Mayan prediction, the end of the world is now very near: December 21, 2012 to be exact. It’s just 3 years ahead since this post is written.
This fact is even worsen by the bombastic marketing hype of 2012 movie.
But slowly but sure this doomsday prediction has created a serious impact and poisoned the healthy mind of many people which is the fear.

For instance, NASA's Ask an Astrobiologist Web site, has received thousands of terrible statements regarding the 2012 doomsday predictions like:

"I've had two teenagers who were considering killing themselves, because they didn't want to be around when the world ends."

"Two women in the last two weeks said they were contemplating killing their children and themselves so they wouldn't have to suffer through the end of the world."

So, let’s see how science explains all these doomsday predictions as summarized from National Geographic:

2012 Prediction 1: Maya Predicted End of the World in 2012

The Maya calendar won’t end in 2012, as others have said but December 21, 2012, (give or take a day) was a momentous day to the Maya.

"It's the time when the largest grand cycle in the Mayan calendar—1,872,000 days or 5,125.37 years—overturns and a new cycle begins," said Anthony Aveni, a Maya expert and archaeoastronomer at Colgate University in Hamilton, New York.
The lengthy era ends and the complicated, cyclical calendar will roll over again to Day Zero, beginning another enormous cycle.

"The idea is that time gets renewed, that the world gets renewed all over again—often after a period of stress—the same way we renew time on New Year's Day or even on Monday morning," said Aveni, author of The End of Time: The Maya Mystery of 2012.

2012 Prediction 2: Breakaway Continents Will Destroy Civilization

In some 2012 doomsday prophecies, the Earth becomes a deathtrap as it undergoes a "pole shift." The planet's crust and mantle will suddenly shift, spinning around Earth's liquid-iron outer core like an orange's peel spinning around its fleshy fruit.

Breakaway oceans and continents dump cities into the sea, thrust palm trees to the poles, and spawn earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, and other disasters. Scientists reject such drastic scenarios, but some researchers have speculated that a subtler shift could occur—for example, if the distribution of mass on or inside the planet changed radically, due to, say, the melting of ice caps.

Princeton University geologist Adam Maloof has extensively studied pole shifts, and tackles this 2012 myth in 2012: Countdown to Armageddon, a National Geographic Channel documentary airing Sunday, November 8.

Maloof says magnetic evidence in rocks confirm that continents have undergone such drastic rearrangement, but the process took millions of years—slow enough that humanity wouldn't have felt the motion.

2012 Prediction 3: Galactic Alignment Spells Doom

Some sky-watchers believe 2012 will close with a "galactic alignment," which will occur for the first time in 26,000 years.

In this theory, the path of the sun in the sky would appear to cross through what, from Earth, looks to be the midpoint of our galaxy, the Milky Way, which in good viewing conditions appears as a cloudy stripe across the night sky.

Some fear that the lineup will somehow expose Earth to powerful unknown galactic forces that will hasten its doom perhaps through a "pole shift" or the stirring of the supermassive black hole at our galaxy's heart.

Others see the purported event in a positive light, as heralding the dawn of a new era in human consciousness.

NASA's Morrison has a different view:

"There is no 'galactic alignment' in 2012," he said, "or at least nothing out of the ordinary." He explained that a type of "alignment" occurs during every winter solstice, when the sun, as seen from Earth, appears in the sky near what looks to be the midpoint of the Milky Way.

Even so, the end date of the current Long Count cycle - winter solstice 2012 may be evidence of Maya astronomical skill. Maya astronomers built observatories and, by observing the night skies and using mathematics, learned to accurately predict eclipses and other celestial phenomena. He also indicate that the Maya calendar may be tied to seasonal agricultural cycles central to ancient survival.

Following to the highly anticipated “2012” movie, various questions regarding the truth about 2012 doomsday theory are increasingly questioned. Q: Are there any threats to the Earth in 2012? Many Internet websites say the world will end in December 2012.
A: Nothing bad will happen to the Earth in 2012. Our planet has been getting along just fine for more than 4 billion years, and credible scientists worldwide know of no threat associated with 2012.

Q: What is the origin of the prediction that the world will end in 2012?
A: The story started with claims that Nibiru, a supposed planet discovered by the Sumerians, is headed toward Earth. This catastrophe was initially predicted for May 2003, but when nothing happened the doomsday date was moved forward to December 2012. Then these two fables were linked to the end of one of the cycles in the ancient Mayan calendar at the winter solstice in 2012 -- hence the predicted doomsday date of December 21, 2012.

Q: Does the Mayan calendar end in December 2012?
A: Just as the calendar you have on your kitchen wall does not cease to exist after December 31, the Mayan calendar does not cease to exist on December 21, 2012. This date is the end of the Mayan long-count period but then -- just as your calendar begins again on January 1 -- another long-count period begins for the Mayan calendar.

Q: Could a phenomena occur where planets align in a way that impacts Earth?
A: There are no planetary alignments in the next few decades, Earth will not cross the galactic plane in 2012, and even if these alignments were to occur, their effects on the Earth would be negligible. Each December the Earth and sun align with the approximate center of the Milky Way Galaxy but that is an annual event of no consequence.

"There apparently is a great deal of interest in celestial bodies, and their locations and trajectories at the end of the calendar year 2012. Now, I for one love a good book or movie as much as the next guy. But the stuff flying around through cyberspace, TV and the movies is not based on science. There is even a fake NASA news release out there..." Don Yeomans, NASA senior research scientist.

Q: Is there a planet or brown dwarf called Nibiru or Planet X or Eris that is approaching the Earth and threatening our planet with widespread destruction?
A: Nibiru and other stories about wayward planets are an Internet hoax. There is no factual basis for these claims. If Nibiru or Planet X were real and headed for an encounter with the Earth in 2012, astronomers would have been tracking it for at least the past decade, and it would be visible by now to the naked eye. Obviously, it does not exist. Eris is real, but it is a dwarf planet similar to Pluto that will remain in the outer solar system; the closest it can come to Earth is about 4 billion miles.

Q: Is the Earth in danger of being hit by a meteor in 2012?

A: The Earth has always been subject to impacts by comets and asteroids, although big hits are very rare. The last big impact was 65 million years ago, and that led to the extinction of the dinosaurs. Today NASA astronomers are carrying out a survey called the Spaceguard Survey to find any large near-Earth asteroids long before they hit. We have already determined that there are no threatening asteroids as large as the one that killed the dinosaurs. All this work is done openly with the discoveries posted every day on the NASA NEO Program Office website, so you can see for yourself that nothing is predicted to hit in 2012.

“2012 is no more than a man-made hoax”

Q: How do NASA scientists feel about claims of pending doomsday?
A: For any claims of disaster or dramatic changes in 2012, where is the science? Where is the evidence? There is none, and for all the fictional assertions, whether they are made in books, movies, documentaries or over the Internet, we cannot change that simple fact. There is no credible evidence for any of the assertions made in support of unusual events taking place in December 2012.

Q: Is there a danger from giant solar storms predicted for 2012?
A: Solar activity has a regular cycle, with peaks approximately every 11 years. Near these activity peaks, solar flares can cause some interruption of satellite communications, although engineers are learning how to build electronics that are protected against most solar storms. But there is no special risk associated with 2012. The next solar maximum will occur in the 2012-2014 time frame and is predicted to be an average solar cycle, no different than previous cycles throughout history.

I guess at the moment you should heard the infamous “2012 end of the day” hype, right? Even there was a Hollywood movie that pictured how our earth would look like right on 21st of December 2012.

Some believe this hype, but others still insist that 2012 is just a hoax. Below there are 3 strong reasons why 2012 Doomsday is just a hoax:

Nostradamus Never Said Anything about 2012 End of the Day!

There is not even a single statement in the prophetic Centuries, written by Nostradamus that mentions something about a major event in 2012. In the letter to his son Caesar, which also serves as a Preface to his Prophecies, made public in 1555, the prophet says his prophecies, “containing each 100 astronomic quatrains of forecasts, polished through obscurely”, are “perpetual” and “things that have been foreseen, from now to the year 3797″.

Of course, this can only be a hoax. Why should Nostradamus have written and published all these predictions from the 16th century to 3797, if he knew the world would end in 2012?

The Mayan Calendar is just a Calendar, not a Prophecy!

Surely this is the most hyped one. But the fact that Mayan Calendar ends in 2012 doesn't mean the world is going to end in 2012 as well. The Calendar just stopped, and that’s all.
